A recorded HP Z420 memory-training error

A workstation boot error and the power-management settings recorded during the earlier investigation.

The original workstation note recorded this boot-time message:

942-Memory Training Error.
DIMM 5 on CPU 0 experienced an error during training (CODE 3015)

It then documented the following BIOS power-management changes:

Go to BIOS Setup (F10)
Power tab
Select OS Power Management -> change 'Idle Power Savings’ from ‘Extended’ to ’Normal'
Select Hardware Power Management -> check ’S5 Maximum Power Savings’ must be in ‘Disabled'

These are settings from one earlier investigation, not proof that a DIMM fault was repaired. A memory-training error identifies a startup problem; changing power settings does not establish the condition of the memory module, slot, or motherboard.

No workstation or BIOS setting was tested or changed for this revision. Match the machine model, firmware, and actual diagnostic evidence before drawing a conclusion from the old note.
