A fixed reward pool and a fixed event duration do not define fairness by themselves. The original proposal wanted three properties:
- Participants could understand the reward commitment when entering.
- Entering earlier could increase the reward.
- Remaining staked longer could increase the reward.
These objectives need a precise relationship. A reward fixed at entry means something different from one recalculated as participation changes. The design must explain what is committed, how time is measured, and how total obligations remain within the available pool.
